With almost 50% of fires starting in the kitchen it’s critical that we protect this room and receive rapidly alerts to danger. FireAngel developed their Heat Alarms to provide a quick alert to rapid rises in temperatures rather than smoke, making them perfect for kitchens as they won't react to cooking fumes from things such as burnt toast or cooking practices that result in a lot of smoke. The alarm has been designed to update many installations using FireAngel devices - making it the perfect for replacing HT-630 alarms which you may currently have installed. This means you may be able to take down your current device with a simple twist, and install the new alarm in seconds. For a new installation the baseplate can be installed easily using two screws (not included). Once installed please test the alarm by pressing the large central test button to ensure the alarm is fitted correctly and operational. We advise you install a FireAngel heat alarm in your kitchen alongside smoke alarms within the circulation area of each floor of the property. You can also install heat alarms in your loft and garage and smoke alarms in the main habitable areas such as bedrooms and living room. Install alongside carbon monoxide alarms for complete protection. It’s important to remember that the sensors in all alarms deteriorate after time, at FireAngel we recommend that all smoke and heat alarms are replaced every 10 years.
